Now on the territory of the former industrial zone there are warehouses and car services. On the reorganized site, it is planned to build almost 915 thousand square meters of real estate. The construction of the first facilities will begin in 2023.

According to the head Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of the City of Moscow Alexandra Prokhorova, Modern high-tech enterprises will occupy 457.25 thousand square meters. Research and innovation centers and design institutes will appear here.

“It is planned to build sports complexes, banks, shops and other public and business facilities on the same area,” he explained.

Comprehensive development of the territories of the former industrial zones of Moscow within the framework of the Industrial Quarters project will allow the city to receive about 500 thousand jobs and almost three trillion rubles of budget revenues, and the total investment will amount to more than seven trillion rubles.

The Industrial Quarters project within the framework of the program for the integrated development of territories makes it possible to bring unused and virtually abandoned city sites into circulation. The first agreement on the integrated development of territories was concluded in July 2020 – this is a project for the development of a territory in the Oktyabrskoye Pole industrial zone, the total area of ​​which is 5.92 hectares. Investments in the development of the industrial zone will amount to almost 14 billion rubles, the budget effect – about 1.8 billion rubles. The project is scheduled for six years, but the investor plans to complete the construction by 2024.

In November last year, Moscow hosted the country’s first auction for the right to conclude an agreement on the integrated development of the territory, within the framework of which the Korovino industrial zone will be reorganized.

In June, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, two more agreements were signed on the integrated development of industrial zones at the initiative of copyright holders. Thanks to the Industrial Quarters project, the Korovino and Kuntsevo industrial zones located in the north and west of Moscow, respectively, will gain a second life. In addition, the fifth agreement was signed in September – on the reorganization of the Altufevskoe Shosse industrial zone.
