Servicemen of the Vislensk Motorized Rifle Division of the Combined Arms Army of the Western Military District (ZVO), as part of a control check, carried out live fires from anti-tank missile systems at a training exercise in the Voronezh Region.

At the Pogonovo training ground, the anti-tank crews destroyed the “enemy’s” armored vehicles using the Metis ATGM guided missiles, and also changed firing positions under the cover of the BTR-82A armored personnel carriers and T-72B3 tanks.

Combat firing was conducted from cover, at a distance of up to a thousand meters. Calculations ATGM “Metis” for a limited time carried out the search, capture and destruction of visually visible stationary targets, imitating tanks and armored vehicles of the “enemy”.

At the same time, the crews of the T-72B3 tanks supported the motorized riflemen with the fire of the Reflex guided anti-tank missiles. The “Reflex” ammunition was controlled by a gunner from a tank using a laser designator and hit targets of a simulated enemy at a distance of up to 2.5 km.

In total, about 800 servicemen of the Vislenskaya motorized rifle division of the combined arms army of the Western Military District and more than 50 units of weapons and military equipment were involved in the exercise as part of the control check.
