The crews of tank and motorized rifle units of the combined arms army of the Western Military District, stationed in the Voronezh, Belgorod, Bryansk and Smolensk regions, have successfully completed the Steel Hunter training course at the regional combat training center in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

In the course of the final stage of training, in the conditions of a combined arms battle, the servicemen had to break through to the rear of the conditional enemy, performing flank firing at dynamically appearing targets. While passing the standards, tankmen and motorized riflemen of units of the combined arms army of the Western Military District worked out the destruction of unmanned aerial vehicles using heavy machine guns and 30-mm cannons, and also provided medical assistance after being hit by an “enemy” air raid.

A key feature of the past tests was the regular change in the crew of the driver, commander or gunner at the command of the leaders.

For reference:

The Steel Hunter program is a special training course, the peculiarity of which is the comprehensive training of crews from the first days of training, while the standard program implies separate training of driver mechanics, gunner-operators and commanders of combat vehicles with subsequent coordination in the composition of the crews. platoons, companies and battalions. The goal of the “Steel Hunter” program is to train future winners of the international stages of the ARMI competitions under the guidance of the winners of the past competitions.
