In the year of the 320th anniversary of the founding of the engineering troops of Russia, a number of exposition and exhibition events of a military-patriotic orientation are held.
Military-historical exhibition “No one without us!” was opened on July 1, 2021 in Volgograd on the basis of the Officers’ House of the Volgograd garrison under the auspices of the Battle of Stalingrad Museum-Reserve. The initiator of the exhibition was the Office of the Chief of Engineering Troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
More than 100 exhibits were provided by the engineering formations of the Western, Southern, Central military districts, units of the engineering troops of the central subordination and the Interregional children’s military-patriotic social movement “Young Karbyshevtsy”.
Visitors were able to familiarize themselves with the evolution of the equipment of military engineers for such tasks as demining, crossing a crossing, diving, assault on a fortified object. Visitors also saw a wide range of standard domestic engineering ammunition and samples of improvised explosive devices used by terrorists in the North Caucasus and the Syrian Arab Republic.
In addition, the exhibition presented modern means of search and detection of explosive objects and other special equipment of the engineering troops of Russia.
For three months of work, the military-historical exhibition “No one without us!” more than 1,500 people visited, including veterans of the Great Patriotic War and other armed conflicts, youth soldiers, members of search groups, representatives of public organizations. The unique exhibits aroused great interest not only among the residents of the Volgograd region, but also among other regions of the country.
Earlier, an exhibition dedicated to the 320th anniversary of the engineering troops was held at the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War on Poklonnaya Hill. From May to July, the exhibition was visited by hundreds of residents of Moscow and the Moscow region.
