The medical institutions of the capital are being reconstructed and equipped with modern equipment. As a result, patients and doctors will receive a comfortable space for treatment and work.

All clinics in Moscow must meet the highest standards and requirements. About it Sergei Sobyanin told on the air of the TV Center TV channel.

“Over the entire history of Moscow, 400 polyclinic buildings have been built. We set the task, in fact, to do 200 of them anew. These will be the newest and most modern polyclinics, no worse than commercial ones, ”said the Mayor of Moscow.

In 2020-2021 by new Moscow standard30 buildings of city polyclinics were reconstructed. Their total area is about 84 thousand square meters. Now work is underway in 46 polyclinics with a total area of more than 200 thousand square meters.

“In order to give some new life to these polyclinics, we embarked on such a radical project of creating modern outpatient centers, modern polyclinics based on old ones. In fact, only brickwork remains of them, and even then not always. Everything else is being rebuilt, ”the Moscow Mayor said.

Basically, the program affects buildings built 40-60 years ago. The repair work takes an average of nine months. During this time, specialists completely renew the engineering systems of the building, create a comfortable space for patients and doctors.

In addition to buildings, territories near health care facilities are also being tidied up. If possible, they equip playgrounds, parking lots, make sheds over the playgrounds for bicycles and strollers, create a barrier-free environment for people with limited mobility, plant trees and shrubs.

In the renovated polyclinics, instead of a reception desk behind the glass, convenient information desks have been created, consultants are on duty. Patients are received by doctors, and a certificate or referral can be quickly obtained in a special office.

“Today we have determined the standard according to which eight most demanded specialists should work in each district polyclinic, and very narrowly focused specialists should work in central clinics,” Sergei Sobyanin said.

There are waiting areas with air conditioners, coolers and vending machines in the halls. The interiors are decorated in warm natural colors and create a cozy atmosphere. Navigation in clinics is intuitive, it allows you to easily find the desired office.

There are cozy lounges for doctors and nurses where you can have a snack and discuss work issues. The offices are equipped with ergonomic furniture: tables, chairs, armchairs and wardrobes. Buffets for patients and staff are organized.

“As a result, it is convenient not only for patients, but also for the doctors themselves. These are different working conditions. This is also important. A person who is in a good office, where there is a rest room, an opportunity to have a snack, the most modern equipment. His mood is different, and he accepts you differently, ”said the Moscow Mayor.

In addition, for more than 20 polyclinics where the repairs have already been completed, they purchased over 100 units of high-tech equipment.

Sergei Sobyanin also said that he was about changing the approach to providing cancer care. According to him, it is necessary to carry out early diagnosis, use effective drugs and prolong the life of people with cancer as much as possible. Now the medicine in the capital in the field of oncological care corresponds to the European level, Sergei Sobyanin emphasized.

“Treatment of oncology involves a sequential process, from diagnostics to outpatient and surgical care, post-surgical rehabilitation, and the appointment of immunotherapy. Both chemotherapy and immunotherapy should be started in strict accordance with the markers that the patient has. This requires a state-of-the-art laboratory, and the entire chain cannot be organized simply in any clinic. Therefore, we have created six oncological centers, which include dispensaries, that is, an outpatient unit, and the most powerful modern laboratories, and surgery and rehabilitation, ”said Sergei Sobyanin.
