A large-scale beautification program continues in Moscow, the task of which is to create a high-quality and comfortable environment everywhere.
Improvement works are primarily aimed at the comprehensive development of Moscow districts. About it Sergei Sobyanintold on the air of the TV Center TV channel.
“Today, our efforts are directed primarily at the integrated development of districts, so that a high-quality environment is created in each of them: parks, squares, boulevards, natural ponds, planted trees, made sports and playgrounds, embankments and so on. Moscow is a big city and it takes a lot of attention and work. In general, in all cities of the world, the improvement of territories and the renovation of these territories after some time – after seven, after 10 years – is one of the most important city functions, in my opinion, “- said the Mayor of Moscow.
So, Sergei Sobyanin spoke about a large-scale project to improve the floodplain of the Yauza River. They put in order not only its channel, but also the adjacent territory. And this is a huge space, larger than, for example, Gorky Park. Moreover, half of this space has already been landscaped.
“This territory should be approached very scrupulously, very carefully, because it is also a specially protected natural area. Therefore, it is necessary to implement such projects very carefully. Why we were in no hurry. It was possible, of course, to push up and in a year, for two from the shoulder to chop and do everything – no, we do it carefully, consistently, consulting with ecologists, specialists, local residents, we ask what is necessary for them, how best to do it. These are not abstract projects – these are projects that are needed, ”the Moscow Mayor said.
Park “Yauza” will be a single recreational space from the Rostokinsky aqueduct to the Moscow Ring Road with a length of 16 kilometers. We have already carried out a comprehensive improvement of the territories along Lazorevoy, Chukotsky and Tenisty passages, Zapovednaya Street and the Garden of the Future park.
This year, work was going on in the floodplain of the Yauza tributary – the Chermyanka River, on the section from Musorgsky Street to Dezhnev Passage and along Yurlovsky Passage from Molodtsova Street. The total area of the improvement was 49.1 hectares. An eco-route with a length of almost four kilometers has been created on both banks of Chermyanka. To cross the river, eight bridges were built that connect the Otradnoye and Yuzhnoye Medvedkovo districts.
In 2021, a large-scale program to improve the quality and comfort of living in Moscow continued. Improvement works have passed more than five thousand city objects… More than 20 streets were put in order in the capital, including Dmitrovsky Lane, a section of Leninsky Prospekt from Kravchenko Street to the Moscow Ring Road, Krasnaya Presnya Street and Zvenigorodskoe Highway to the Third Transport Ring and others.
The city pays special attention to the improvement of the embankments. So, this year Sofiyskaya, Raushskaya, Sadovnicheskaya, Kosmodamianskaya embankments, as well as the side streets adjacent to them, have acquired a new look.
In addition, a large-scale program for the improvement of school yards and stadiums, as well as the territories of kindergartens, was launched. And in the capital, courtyards are being put in order, water bodies are being cleaned, roads and transport infrastructure are being renovated. Work continues on creating convenient pedestrian connections between residential areas and metro stations, the MCC, MCD, platforms of the Moscow Railway and transport hubs.
