The crews of the anti-aircraft missile regiment of the army corps of the Baltic Fleet, stationed in Kaliningrad, at the Kapustin Yar range (Astrakhan region), carried out live firing from the Tor-M2 missile systems, mastered by the regiment’s personnel this year.

In the course of combat work, the crews of the complexes destroyed several high-speed maneuvering targets of the “Saman” type, launched from different directions and flying at minimum and maximum altitudes. During the exercise, the anti-aircraft gunners of the Baltic Fleet successfully hit all designated targets.

In total, about 200 servicemen took part in the tactical exercises with live fire, more than 20 units of special military equipment and weapons were involved.

During the event, the personnel of the Tor-M2 air defense missile systems mastered loading launchers, searching, detecting, tracking and destroying air targets.

Recall that the anti-aircraft missile regiment in the Kaliningrad region carried out a complete re-equipment with the newest Tor-M2 air defense systems, which replaced the Tor military air defense systems.
