The administration of the city of Yekaterinburg made a decision to introduce a local emergency regime in the Solnechny microdistrict. This will make it possible to carry out all measures to minimize the consequences of a landscape fire as efficiently and promptly as possible. The introduction of the emergency regime will not affect the livelihoods of ordinary citizens. The extinguishing of the centers of decay continues. During the day, 5 hotbeds of a peat fire were eliminated, 27 hotbeds continue to operate, and 5 additional main lines for water supply have been laid. The build-up of the group was carried out. Yesterday, cadets from the Ural Institute of State Fire Service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry and aviation security specialists arrived at the scene of the fire.

In total, 156 people and 44 pieces of equipment take part in extinguishing.

Specialists of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia believe that the most likely cause of the fire is arson by unidentified persons. A fire-technical examination is being carried out, following which the materials will be transferred to the investigating authorities.
