“Within the framework of the urban development project for the development of the territory of the Mnevnikovskaya floodplain on an area of more than 350 hectares, it is planned to build public-residential, sports, administrative, social and commercial facilities with a total area of about 2.5 million square meters,” he said.
Special attention will be paid to the development of transport. The station of the Big Circle line of the Terekhovo metro is being built here, new highways are being designed. One of the important transport facilities of the Mnevnikovskaya floodplain is the Mnevniki metro station, on the basis of which a transport interchange hub will appear. New metro stations, roads and bridges will connect the floodplain with the neighboring districts of Filevsky Park and Krylatskoye.
According to Albert Suniev, executive director for development of Mosinzhproekt JSC, when developing the project for the development of the Mnevnikovskaya floodplain territory, specialists adhered to an integrated approach, which fully meets the capital’s policy of polycentric development, and also allows creating new points of attraction and high-quality conditions for life, rest and work.
The Mosinzhproekt engineering holding is the general designer and contractor for the construction of new lines and stations of the Moscow metro, as well as the operator of the development of territories for a number of major urban development projects, including the Mnevnikovskaya floodplain.
The floodplain development project is scheduled to be completed by 2030. Here will appear open areas for basketball, volleyball, tennis, workout and beach sports.
