As part of an excursion to the Far Eastern “capital” of the Airborne Forces – the city of Ussuriisk, pupils of the Vladivostok children’s naval flotilla “Varyag” visited one of the most advanced airborne assault formations of the Airborne Forces stationed in this city.

During the excursion, the flotilla students visited the chapel of the Prophet of God Elijah, located on the territory of the compound and opened only this year, as well as the room of Military Glory, where they were introduced to the history, traditions and combat path of the famous airborne assault formation.

Then the young sailors visited the airborne complex (VDK), where they got acquainted with the shells on which the paratroopers practice the elements of a parachute jump on the ground, and also tried on the role of a paratrooper themselves, putting on models of parachute systems and practicing the elements of a parachute jump on shells VDK.

At the end of the excursion, the students visited the location of one of the units of the formation, where they got acquainted with the life and life of military personnel, living conditions, items of equipment and small arms that are in service with the units of the Airborne Forces.
