In the Penza region, an exercise began with the involvement of over 1,000 air defense servicemen of the Central Military District.
Practical actions began this morning with the rise of anti-aircraft units on a drill. Now servicemen on standard equipment are marching to designated areas, where they will work out a set of measures for 4 days.
According to the plan of the exercise, the anti-aircraft gunners will have to repel an air attack by large enemy forces. To do this, they will have to create an echeloned defense, including with the use of Buk-M2 anti-aircraft missile systems.
In addition, anti-aircraft gunners will perform more than 30 specialized and special training tasks. Among them, the capture and tracking of low-flying targets, repelling the attack of saboteurs on launchers.
The exercise is carried out as part of checking the combat readiness of anti-aircraft units.
