From 6 to 7 October 2021, the sixth annual “March of the Kremlin Cadets” took place. This year it was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Moscow.

For the first time, members of the DOSAAF of the city of Moscow and members of the youth army of school No. 1080 took part in a military-patriotic project. Schoolchildren joined the cadets of the Moscow Higher Combined Arms Command School. The column also included cadets of the Mikhailovskaya Military Artillery Academy of St. Petersburg, the Tyumen Higher Military Engineering Command School and the Military University of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The participants of the March paid tribute to the memory of the heroes who defended the heart of our Motherland in the cruelest, bloody battles with the Nazis. The routes of the “March of the Kremlin cadets” and the “Road of Heroes” campaign were laid along the battle sites of the 16th Army in the battle for Moscow in 1941.

The route, 85 km long, passed from the village of Nikolskoye to the village of Yaropolets in the Volokolamsk district of the Moscow region. On the first day of the march, October 6, servicemen, cadets, youth soldiers covered a distance of more than 50 km. On the second day – more than 25 km. On October 7, another group of 21 students joined the children from school # 1080.

At the end of the action, the participants of the March laid wreaths at the memorial “Kremlin cadets, soldiers of 1941” in the village of Yaropolets, and took part in a solemn meeting and rewarding with memorable signs “March of the Kremlin cadets”.
