From the opening remarks by Mikhail Mishustin at the Government meeting, October 14, 2021

An additional 28.3 billion rubles will be allocated to support families raising children between the ages of three and seven. This order was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

We are talking about a monthly payment, the amount of which depends on the average per capita family income and can range from 50 to 100% of the child’s regional subsistence minimum. At present, at least 2.7 million children are provided with such payments.

In 2021, 276 billion rubles have already been allocated from the budget for this support measure. The additional funds will come from the Government’s reserve fund.

An order was also signed to allocate 5.9 billion rubles to support families raising three or more children. They are also eligible for special monthly payments until the child is three years old.

The federal budget provides for over 59 billion rubles for these purposes. Now more than 620 thousand large families receive such assistance, and thanks to additional funds from the reserve fund, it will be possible to provide payments for another 48 thousand children in such families.

“Support for families with children will remain one of the priorities of the Government’s work in the future,” emphasized Mikhail Mishustin at meeting of the Government on October 14.

The documents will be published.
