The Italian palace of Kronstadt, which is part of the Kronstadt Fortress branch of the Central Naval Museum named after Emperor Peter the Great, once again delighted its guests with an original exhibition project. It has already become a tradition that in its exhibition spaces there are expositions dedicated to memorable dates of the Russian Navy and contemporary landscape painting or conceptual art. Thanks to this, the conscripts of the Baltic Fleet, who are frequent guests here, can, as they say, first-hand, get an idea of both traditional and contemporary art.

This year, the Italian Palace takes part in the third annual international project – the Curatorial Forum, initiated by the North-West branch of the Pushkin Museum im. A.S. Pushkin.

This project with the participation of leading institutional and independent curators, gallery owners and art managers contributes to the strengthening and development of cultural ties of Russian artists and cultural specialists with colleagues from other countries and regions, as well as to increase the interest of a wide audience in contemporary art.

Within the framework of the forum, the exhibition “Enthalpy” is being held in the Kronstadt Italian Palace under the supervision of Mikhail Krest.

Enthalpy is a measure of the energy that accumulates in a substance during its formation. The total value of the enthalpy cannot be calculated or measured, but the amount of heat released or absorbed as a result of the transition of a substance from one phase to another is used to judge the change in enthalpy as a result of this process.

The exhibition will run until October 31, 2021.
