Most often, projects are aimed at supporting people with disabilities, as well as large and foster families.
The acceptance of applications for participation in the Moscow is a good city grant competition has ended. This year, 506 non-profit organizations (NPOs) applied for them. Winners will be announced on November 30th. This was reported by Alexandra Alexandrova, first deputy head of the capital Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.
“It was important for us that as many socially oriented NGOs as possible could submit their projects to the Moscow is a Good City competition and receive funding for their implementation. Our interaction and work with them expand the city’s capabilities within the framework of targeted support for Muscovites. This year the competition has become more accessible, as we have improved the conditions for its holding. The result was 506 applications for grant support, ”she said.
The demanded directions of the competition are support for people with disabilities, as well as support for large and foster families. This year, 142 and 104 applications were submitted for the implementation of such projects, respectively. To begin with, all NGOs that have submitted an application will undergo a formal examination, and if they meet the requirements for participants in the competition, then their projects will be further sent for evaluation to experts of the Moscow is a good city competition. Within a month, NPO projects will be evaluated by an expert council, which includes almost 60 people – representatives of federal and regional departments, socially oriented non-profit organizations.
