This will improve the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, as well as attract young professionals to urban health care.

One billion rubles will be allocated to support scientific developments and innovations in the field of medicine in the capital. The corresponding decree was signed Sergei Sobyaninat a meeting of the Presidium of the Moscow Government.

Funds from the city budget have been allocated to finance teams of specialists from medical organizations of the state health care system, developing high-tech methods for diagnosing and treating diseases.

Support will be given to projects lasting from one to three years. The project operator is planning to allocate funds annually – the Moscow Center for Innovative Technologies in Healthcare with the participation of the Council of Chief Physicians at Department of Healthcare of the city of Moscow

In addition, the center will support teams of specialists in patenting developments, introducing them into medical practice, and posting information about innovations in leading medical journals.

Targeted funding for the development and implementation of new methods of diagnosis and treatment of diseases will help improve the quality of medical care for Muscovites, strengthen the scientific potential of city clinics and attract talented young specialists to the capital’s healthcare.
