Participants of the “Active Citizen” project are invited to “Autumn marathon”… These are 24 thematic quizzes dedicated to Moscow. They can be completed on the website or in the app from October 20 to November 21. The winners of the promotion will receive special prizes.

Three virtual tracks will be prepared for the participants, similar to a real running competition. On each of them, users have to go through eight quizzes, including eight questions. To participate, you need to go to a special section on the site of the “Active Citizen” project, select one or several thematic tracks and press the button “Start, attention, march!”

On the first track – “Moscow was not built right away” – it will be necessary to answer questions about the development of the city’s transport infrastructure and construction. For example, which station is the deepest on the Big Circle Metro Line under construction, what is the name of the estate, where Nikolai Karamzin lived and worked and Alexander Pushkin visited, or in which area a year ago there was not a single metro station, but now three have appeared at once. In this section there are also photo questions: for example, you need to guess the metro station from the image of the lobby.

The second track is “A new look of familiar streets”. Here you can find questions about the restoration of cultural heritage sites and the improvement of Moscow streets, as well as about unusual archaeological finds. So, in one of the photo questions, “active citizens” will need to guess for the coronation of which emperor they prepared dishes, a mug and a token, which in 2020 archaeologists found in the area of the square near the Paveletsky railway station. You will also need to indicate the historical name of the pavilion, where today the exhibition and trade center of the Republic of Armenia is located at VDNKh.

The third track – “Our city without outskirts” – is dedicated to the development of Moscow districts. In this section, users will have to answer questions about the reconstruction of streets, the names of sculptural compositions and the location of famous buildings, museums and even graffiti. Participants need to guess the area based on the description or video, as well as recognize the beach from a photograph.

Questions for the “Autumn Marathon” were prepared by representatives of the capital’s departments: Department of Culture, Department of Cultural Heritage, Department of Territorial Executive Bodies, transport and construction complexes, as well as urban Tourism Committeeand the My District program.

Quizzes on all tracks will open on Mondays and Wednesdays at 09:00. For each correct answer, the participant will receive 20 points, that is, for one quiz, you can score a maximum of 160 points.

The first three thousand “active citizens” on each thematic track, who gave the largest number of correct answers, will receive 500 points. And for the fastest participants with a full account on the portal, there are additional gifts.

Those who took places from the first to the 500th on each of the tracks will be additionally given a Troika themed card with an exclusive design, souvenirs from the project and coupons for gifts in the incentive store. The winners of the track “Moscow was not built right away” will be given one coupon each in the “Transport” section, the track “New look of familiar streets” – in the “Events” section and the track “Our city without outskirts” – in the “Souvenirs” section.

In addition, super winners will be determined at each distance – 10 leaders who gave the fastest number of correct answers. They will receive souvenir kits and a thousand extra points each.

Project “Active citizen”appeared in 2014. In seven years, more than five million people have joined it, of which almost two million will be in 2020. Participants decide which streets, courtyards and parks need to be improved, how city clinics, libraries, multifunctional centers should work, and also choose events for festivals and celebrations. Since the start of the project, Muscovites have taken part in more than five thousand votes. Decisions supported by a majority vote are implemented in the city.

You can find out what has appeared or changed in Moscow thanks to the voting on online map… More than 1.6 thousand objects are applied to it. And in the heading “Pulse of the Capital”you can assess the changes that have taken place in Moscow.

Since the end of last year, project participants also have the opportunity to send their accumulated points to charity. The “Active Citizen” project is being developed by the capital Department of Information Technologyand the state treasury institution “New management technologies”.
