Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Navy
Vice-Admiral Vladimir Kasatonov at the closing ceremony of the Commander Launches Cup of the Navy thanked all the participants on behalf of the commander-in-chief and noted that “the popularity of the Commander launches held under the auspices of the Russian Defense Ministry and the Main Command of the Navy is growing every year!
“Of course, these are competitions of a new time and modern format, which have gained genuine popularity among the personnel of the Navy. The commander’s starts perfectly illustrate the words of Admiral P.S. Nakhimova: “Of the three ways of influencing subordinates: fear, rewards, personal example” – the last one is the most important! It is nice to see that commanders of all levels of command, by their personal example, demonstrate the importance of a healthy lifestyle and sports attitude in military units and organizations of the Navy.
Today we have summed up the results of our competition. The main goal of this event is to select the strongest commanders to join the national team of the Navy for further preparation and participation in the final of the all-army competition for the Cup of the Minister of Defense “Commander starts”, which will be held in Moscow from 15 to 20 November.
Dear comrades! On behalf of the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy, let me congratulate all the participants on the completion of the competition, wish you success in your career and new sporting achievements! I am sure that you will continue to work on promoting physical culture and sports among subordinate personnel, as an important means of maintaining a high level of physical fitness of personnel in order to successfully complete combat training tasks as intended! “
