In the period from October 19 to October 21, a delegation of the International Council of Military Sports (CISM), as part of an assessment visit to prepare for the III World Cadet Games in 2022 in St. Petersburg, visited the CSKA branch, the Military Institute of Physical Culture, the Primorets Municipal Athletics Stadium and the Military Academy of Communications named after Marshal of the Soviet Union S.M. Budyonny.

The international delegation included the head of the World Cadet Games project, Colonel Joseph Bakari (Tanzania), President of the CISM Ski Sports Committee, Lieutenant Colonel Zhur Velepek (Slovenia), President of the CISM Shooting Sports Committee, Lieutenant Colonel Muhamed Nadeem (Pakistan), Chief of the CISM President’s Cabinet Major Delphine Viard, head of the games project, Ensign Christophe Horta (France), President of the CISM Athletics Sports Committee, Ensign Magnani Margherita (Italy). The delegation was headed by the President of the International Council of Military Sports, Colonel Herve Picchirillo (France).

The main site of the III World Cadet Games will be the Military Institute of Physical Culture. Also, the competition will be held at the sports facilities of the Central Sports Club of the Army, located in St. Petersburg.

The games program includes competitions in seven sports: international military pentathlon, athletics, orienteering, shooting, volleyball, swimming and summer biathlon (cross disciplines).

At the final meeting held at the Military Institute of Physical Culture, the president of CISM gave a high assessment of the readiness of all facilities to host the competition. He also expressed confidence in the worthy holding of the planned games on the territory of the Russian Federation.
