Servicemen of the Russian peacekeeping contingent at all
27 observation posts continue to ensure the safe entry and exit of vehicles and people to Nagorno-Karabakh around the clock.
Over the current week, through the Lachin corridor towards Nagorno-Karabakh and back, Russian peacekeepers ensured the safe movement of more than 200 units of transit vehicles and about 1,000 people.
“The personnel of the observation post are monitoring the observance of the ceasefire regime in their area of responsibility around the clock. Military personnel ensure the safe passage of a transit vehicle through the checkpoint. Also, in order to prevent possible provocations, all vehicles are subject to inspection, and if necessary, their inspection is carried out, which move in both directions. Also, on the set days, convoys with building materials pass through the checkpoint, accompanied by units of the military police of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, ”said the representative of the Russian peacekeeping contingent Yevgeny Mishin.
All observation posts to control the current situation are equipped with modern outdoor video surveillance dome cameras.
During their service, the Russian military personnel of the peacekeeping contingent are equipped in “Ratnik” suits. Observation posts are equipped with modern LED floodlights and uninterruptible power supplies.
Twenty-seven observation posts of the Russian peacekeeping forces are located in the Lachin corridor and along the entire contact line in Nagorno-Karabakh. Russian peacekeepers provide round-the-clock monitoring of the situation and control over the observance of the ceasefire regime.
In accordance with the agreements specified in the joint statement of the President of the Russian Federation, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, from 00:00 Moscow time on November 10, 2020, a complete ceasefire and all hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh were announced.
A peacekeeping contingent of the Russian Federation has been deployed to control the ceasefire and military operations in Nagorno-Karabakh.
