On October 20, within the framework of checking the readiness of the forces of the Vladivostok fire and rescue garrison, fire-fighting exercises were held at one of the facilities under construction.

According to the legend of the exercise, a fire broke out during the work on one of the ships at the berth. According to the administration of the facility, there were people on the ship, whose independent evacuation was impossible. The fire was accompanied by strong smoke in the cabins of the third tier and rapidly spread through the corridors and rooms.

The on-call service of the enterprise immediately reported on the conditional fire by calling the fire department 101 and, as soon as possible, organized the evacuation of personnel. The technical services of the enterprise de-energized the vessel.

Arriving at the scene, the firefighters carried out a combat deployment, the links of the gas and smoke protection service conducted reconnaissance, found and rescued the employees of the enterprise. Acting harmoniously and confidently, the fire fighters in the shortest possible time successfully eliminated the centers of conditional ignition.

The purpose of these exercises was to practice the actions of fire and rescue units, as well as their interaction with employees of the enterprise in the event of an emergency. In practice, the leadership of the fire and rescue units had to coordinate the actions of the entire fire and rescue department, since the fire was conditionally assigned an increased complexity rank. In addition, from the sea side, the firefighting ship of the Pacific Fleet and the rescue boat of the Vladivostok search and rescue squad “Sergey Telnov” were involved in the extinguishing, which carried out extinguishing from the sea and cooling the ship’s structures in areas of active combustion.

From the air, reconnaissance was carried out using unmanned aerial systems. Experts have practiced thermal imaging reconnaissance. According to the hot spots identified by thermal imagers, the work of fire departments was coordinated and monitored in real time.

In extinguishing a simulated fire, 98 people and 18 pieces of equipment were involved.
