A day of Uzbek cuisine was held in the dining room of the air fighter regiment of the Baltic Fleet naval aviation unit within the framework of the International Day of the Cook and the Naval Conference on Nutrition. The rear services on the day of the culinary holiday tried to emphasize the originality and peculiarity of the recipes of this country.

The conference on nutrition was attended by the Commander of the Baltic Fleet, Vice Admiral Viktor Liina, who got acquainted with the exhibition of national Uzbek dishes. In addition, the fleet commander was presented with various rations of food for servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, an assortment of dishes used in military nutrition, samples of food and ready-made meals according to the norms of food rations for military personnel, modern samples of cook uniforms.

In the regimental canteen, the national interior and the color of the Uzbek dwelling were recreated by the forces of the personnel and civilian personnel of the military unit. The servicemen got acquainted with traditional Uzbek dishes accompanied by a live performance of Uzbek songs performed by creative teams of Kaliningrad and soloists of the BF Song and Dance Ensemble, learned about the history and national customs of this Central Asian state.

Directly in the conference were the chiefs of food services, assistants to the commanders for the supply of military units and formations of the fleet, the full-time cook and bakery staff of the military units of the fleet, representatives of third-party enterprises that organize meals for servicemen.

The participants were informed of the requirements of the guidelines for organizing meals for the personnel, as well as methods for controlling the quality of cooked food and compliance with sanitary and epidemiological standards in the premises. In addition, within the framework of the events, classes were held on organizing meals for military personnel, a master class was organized on cooking dishes of the national Uzbek cuisine and baking bakery products.

Days of national cuisine in the military units of the Baltic Fleet are held regularly with the aim of diversifying food, rallying teams, strengthening their morale and fighting spirit.
