In the south of Yekaterinburg, one large and two minor outbreaks continue to operate on a total area of 2.9 hectares. Firefighters continue pouring smoldering centers and watering the peat bog territory. Heavy engineering equipment is working at the site: paths are laid for the approach of fire trucks to the centers of smoldering, excavators lift peat from the lower layers for pouring and cooling it. The watering of the channels in the peat bog continues to moisten it and stop smoldering.

In a round-the-clock mode, water is supplied to the smoldering area from nearby reservoirs. In total, more than 270 people and 103 units of special equipment are involved in extinguishing the smoldering peat bog.
