International taekwondo competition Asian Open G1 ended in Tehran (Iran). Private sports company CSKA (Sevastopol), master of sports in taekwondo Rustam Odinaev won a bronze medal in the weight category up to 80 kg.

Arian Salimi (Iran) became the winner of the tournament in this weight category. The silver medal was awarded to Masud Khosh Neyat, also representing the Islamic Republic of Iran. In third place, together with Rustam Odinaev, is the Iranian Abolfazl Gafari Sarai.

A total of 460 athletes from 20 countries took part in the fights.

Prior to that, Tehran hosted the 31st Fajr Open 2021 G1 international rating competition in taekwondo, in which Rustam Odinaev also took third place in his weight category.

The rest of the medals went to athletes from Iran: “gold” – Mehran Barkhordari, “silver” – Alirese Darvishpor, another “bronze” – Mahdi Yalali. The tournament was attended by 370 athletes from 20 countries.
