In the Kuban, special forces of the 49th combined-arms army of the Southern Military District (YuVO) carried out a landing from a maximum height and destroyed the conditional saboteurs.
Reconnaissance subunits with the help of UAV “Eleron” opened a sabotage group of a mock enemy, which attempted to mine a bridge in the area of the settlement of Molkino in the Krasnodar Territory.
Special forces groups made a landing from Mi-8AMTSh helicopters from an altitude of 4 thousand meters – the maximum for parachute training. The servicemen used parachutes “Crossbow-2”, the maneuverability of which makes it possible to land on a limited area even in adverse weather conditions. After landing, the group made a 10-kilometer march and destroyed the conditional saboteurs.
About 600 servicemen of the Southern Military District took part in the exercise, over 80 units of military and special equipment were involved.
The exercise was held as part of a bilateral command-staff exercise for command and control of the district troops in the South-West strategic direction under the leadership of the commander of the Southern Military District.
The command post is attended by formations and military units of the Southern Military District, as well as units of military bases deployed in Abkhazia, Armenia, South Ossetia, as well as part of the forces of the Black Sea Fleet, the Caspian Flotilla, which will work out practical actions in the waters of the Black and Caspian Seas.
In total, about 8 thousand servicemen are involved in practical actions at 25 training grounds in the Southern Military District, about 350 units of weapons and military equipment from the combined arms armies, air force and air defense formations, formations and units of the combat arms and special forces of district subordination, the forces of the Black Sea Fleet and the Caspian Flotilla …
