Today in St. Petersburg, near the walls of the Gazprom Arena stadium, the final of the Trassa-01 high-speed maneuvering fire truck competition has come to an end. The opening ceremony was attended by State Secretary – Deputy Head of the Russian Emergencies Ministry Alexei Serko.
“Route – 01” is a specially equipped maneuvering track for fire trucks, consisting of 15 elements. The driver needs to do the exercises as quickly as possible. Teams of fire and rescue divisions of the Main Directorate of the EMERCOM of Russia in St. Petersburg, the Committee on Legality, Law Enforcement and Safety of St. Petersburg, emergency rescue units of the city and GKU Lenoblpozhspas took part in the “races on fire trucks”. 52 teams took part in the qualifying stage of the competition, 12 of them reached the final. As a result of an intense struggle, the winners of the competition were representatives of the fire and rescue unit No. 39 of the PSO of the Moscow region – Anton Bilibin and Sergei Shchuchkin.
The conditions of “fire races” are close to those that drivers of special equipment encounter on public roads and courtyard areas during combat duty: it is on the high professionalism and training of fire truck drivers that the success of extinguishing fires and timely assistance to people depend. Delivery of personnel to the place of emergency in the shortest possible time, supply of fire extinguishing agents for emergency rescue operations and much more – ordinary drivers of unusual cars are behind all this, ”said Aleksey Mikhailovich.
The “Trassa – 01” competition is aimed at improving the professional skills of fire fighters and improving the skills of driving fire truck drivers.
For all who came to cheer for the crews of the competition participants, interactive zones were organized, performances of creative teams, a demonstration of modern fire and rescue equipment, samples of retro fire equipment.
