Military topographers of the combined-arms army of the Western Military District have recreated a 3D model of the Krinitsa training ground in the conditions of a dynamically developing combined-arms battle at special exercises on topogeodetic and navigation support in the Voronezh Region.

Arriving at the field camp, the military topographers promptly deployed and organized the work of the PNGK-1 mobile navigation and geodetic complex.

Together with the operators of the Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicles, the specialists of the topographic service in real time applied the objects of the imaginary enemy to the 3D model of the terrain, ensuring the navigation and geodetic orientation of the troops, taking into account all the relief and landscape features of the range.

The key feature of the last exercise was the attack of the “enemy” reconnaissance and sabotage group, which tried to deprive the military personnel of the combined arms army of the Western Military District of their navigational and geodetic advantage. During the exercise, military topographers successfully repelled the attack of the “saboteurs”.

As part of the exercise, more than 50 specialists of the topographic service have successfully completed the control check during the summer training period.
