The formations and military units of the Eastern Military District, stationed in the Republic of Buryatia, celebrated the World Day of the Cook. The servicemen tasted traditional Russian cuisine.

More than 100 officers and junior specialists of the logistics departments of the Eastern Military District took part in the activities of the Day of the Cook.
In the canteen of the tank formation of the Air Defense Forces, the units that arrived for lunch were met by girls in national costumes, who gave recommendations on the festive menu. Along with the usual dishes, the military could try potatoes baked in a village style with beef, homemade dumplings, homemade pickles, pancakes, pancakes, pastries and much more.
In addition, vegetables and fruits included in the daily diet were presented. All meals were beautifully presented.
In 2004, the World Association of Chef Communities established October 20 as International Chef Day, which is celebrated in 70 countries around the world.
