Within the framework of the Industrial Quarters program, two sites on the territory of the former industrial zone Volgogradsky Prospect are being reorganized. The volume of investments in the development of territories will amount to about 200 billion rubles, said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations. Vladimir Efimov.
“The area of two plots of the former industrial zone Volgogradsky Prospekt in the Nizhegorodsky district of Moscow, which are subject to integrated development, is almost 45 hectares. Now there are offices, warehouses and car services. Investments in redevelopment of the territory will amount to almost 200 billion rubles, and revenues to the city budget – about 24 billion rubles a year. This project will give the city more than nine thousand new jobs, ”he said.
“High-tech production facilities will be located on the first section of the former industrial zone Volgogradsky Prospekt and will occupy 265 thousand square meters,” the head of the department explained. – More than 425 thousand square meters have been allocated for public and business development, it will appear on both sections of the industrial zone in the south-east of Moscow. Business centers, shops, cafes, banks and sports clubs can be built here. “
Comprehensive development of the territories of former industrial zones within the framework of the Industrial Quarters project will allow the city to receive about 500 thousand jobs and almost three trillion rubles of budget revenues. The total investment will amount to over seven trillion rubles.
The Industrial Quarters project makes it possible to bring unused, virtually abandoned urban areas into circulation. The first agreement on their integrated development was concluded in July 2020 and concerned a section of the Oktyabrskoye Pole industrial zone (total area – 5.92 hectares). About 14 billion rubles of investments will be directed here, and the budget effect will amount to almost 1.8 billion rubles. The project is designed for six years, but it is planned to be completed by 2024.
In early November 2020, the country’s first auction for the right to conclude an agreement for the integrated development of territories was held in Moscow, within the framework of which part of the Korovino industrial zone in the north of the capital will be reorganized. In early June 2021] at the XXIV St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, two more agreements were signed on the integrated development of the territory of the Kuntsevo industrial zone and the second section of Korovin. In September 2021, the fifth agreement was signed – on the reorganization of the Altufevskoe Highway industrial zone.
