In Dagestan, the servicemen of the Caspian Flotilla (CFL) countering sabotage forces and means (SDSS) detachment performed special mountain training tasks at a specialized training complex (UTK) equipped with the latest climbing wall.

Under the guidance of experienced instructors, the servicemen learned the means and methods of using fall arrest systems using station loops. Particular attention was paid to actions in extreme conditions in the absence of standard individual safety systems.

The personnel of the PDSS detachment complied with the standards for tying knots, putting on and blocking an individual safety system, marking the rope into the bay, lifting and lowering loads along a fixed rope.

In addition, the combat swimmers practiced descents and ascents on difficult sections of the climbing wall with a total height of 15 m. All servicemen performed in full gear, including mountain equipment.

At the final stage, instructors conducted training with combat swimmers in hand-to-hand and knife fighting.

In total, more than 30 servicemen of the PDSS KFl detachment were involved in the development of combat training tasks for mountain training.
