By the decision of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation sent specialists of the medical service of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation to the Tula region to help in the fight against coronavirus infection.

An additional 35 specialists from the Russian Ministry of Defense from medical units and military medical organizations of the Western Military District were sent to Tula to provide advice and treatment for patients with COVID-19. Currently, there are already 30 military doctors in regional medical institutions.

As part of the medical and nursing teams, there are military personnel with experience in diagnosing and treating patients with coronavirus. Including resuscitators, pulmonologists, anesthesiologists and other specialists.

Earlier, Governor of the Tula Region Alexei Dyumin addressed the head of the Russian military department with a request for the allocation of medical personnel to provide medical assistance to the population of the region.
