A detachment of warships of the Pacific Fleet (PF) returned to the main base after the completion of the joint exercise of the Navy (Navy) of the Russian Federation and the Naval Forces of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) “Sea Interaction-2021”.

In the near future, the crews of the ships will carry out replenishment of material stocks and scheduled technical checks, after which they will continue to perform tasks as intended.

During the practical stages of the exercise in the maritime training grounds, the ships of the two countries performed more than 20 different combat exercises.

The joint Russian-Chinese naval exercise “Maritime Interaction-2021” was held in the Sea of ​​Japan from October 14 to 17. The Russian Navy was represented on it by warships and support vessels of the Pacific Fleet: the large anti-submarine ship “Admiral Panteleev”, the corvettes of the project 20380 “Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Tsydenzhapov” and “Loud”, two base minesweepers, a submarine of the project 877 “Ust -Bolsheretsk “, as well as a missile boat and a rescue tug.

The Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) naval forces deployed the destroyers Kun Ming and Nan Chang, the corvettes Bin Zhou and Liu Zhou, as well as a diesel submarine, an integrated supply ship and a rescue vessel.

After the completion of the joint exercise, a detachment of the Russian Navy and the PLA Navy, consisting of 10 warships, conducted joint patrols in the western part of the Pacific Ocean. The tasks of the joint patrolling of the Russian-Chinese detachment were to demonstrate the state flags of Russia and China, maintain peace and stability in the Asia-Pacific region, as well as protect the objects of maritime economic activity of the two countries. During the joint maneuvering, a detachment of ships for the first time passed through the Sangar Strait.
