Today, October 26, a ceremonial construction took place in honor of the 68th anniversary of the Central Army Sports Club (SKA, St. Petersburg) branch of the federal autonomous institution of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The event was attended by the head of the CSKA branch (SKA, St. Petersburg) Andrey Kharin, Honored Coach of Russia, Master of Sports of international class in motocross, Master of Sports in motorsport, world champion in motocross in a team, multiple champion of the USSR, multiple champion of the Armed Forces Vladimir Khudyakov, Honored coach of Russia, master of sports in fencing Alexander Press.

Head of the CSKA branch (SKA, St. Petersburg) Andrey Kharin made a welcoming speech and congratulated the audience on the branch foundation Day.

By the order of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Margarita Polovnikova, Alexander Savelyev, Maria Kuznetsova were awarded the medal “For Labor Valor” for impeccable and efficient civil service, conscientious performance of labor duties, long and impeccable work. 11 employees of the branch were awarded with valuable gifts.

Also, at the ceremonial formation, the pupils of the sports school (Olympic reserve, complex) of the CSKA branch, St. Petersburg, the swimming department were awarded the first youth categories.

On October 26, 1953, the Leningrad Army Sports Club was formed, which in 2011 became a branch of the Central Army Sports Club for 68 years SKA has been performing its main task: the development of physical training in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the organization and widespread promotion of physical culture and sports.

SKA regularly hosts international and all-Russian competitions, as well as championships of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Thanks to the most experienced leaders, coaches and athletes, the army club has become a forge of champions.

Today the St. Petersburg branch of CSKA is an experienced and competent managerial, administrative and coaching staff, renowned athletes who worthily represent the Central Sports Club of the Army and Russia at major competitions, as well as a complex of modern sports facilities and multidisciplinary sports schools.
