The volume of foreign trade turnover of the Russian Federation for the first nine months of 2021 reached $ 540 billion, including exports amounted to $ 310 billion, said the head of the FCS Vladimir Bulavin at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“It should be noted that this year, as a whole, the trade turnover of the Russian Federation has increased by 35% compared to the nine months of last year and amounts to $ 540 billion. Our exports are $ 310 billion and imports are $ 230 billion, that is, we have a generally positive balance.” – said Bulavin.
The head of the FCS recalled that in 2020 the service completed a large-scale reform of customs administration, during which electronic declaration centers, a network of distributed centers and electronic customs were created. Thanks to the changes made, it was possible to speed up the customs clearance process, make it more transparent, as well as reduce the burden on business, Bulavin emphasized.
“In the process of reforming, we managed to digitize almost all customs procedures. For example, I want to say that 860 million records are processed in our information systems during the day. This allowed us to automate individual customs clearance procedures. This year, in nine months, we have issued four million declarations. , of which 3.2 million declarations are automatically registered by the system and a little more than one million are automatically issued. The time for automatic issuance of one electronic declaration is four minutes, and all this without human intervention, which means quickly, efficiently and objectively, “Bulavin explained.
He added that the reform increased the efficiency of customs clearance for the state in terms of fulfilling its fiscal function by customs. The practices introduced during the reform had a positive effect on the growth of trade turnover in the Russian Federation, the head of the FCS summed up.
On October 22, the first deputy head of the FCS of Russia Ruslan Davydov said that the volume of foreign trade turnover of the Russian Federation from the beginning of 2021 to mid-October amounted to about $ 570 billion, which practically corresponds to the data for 2020. According to Davydov, in the absence of global shocks, Russia will be able to exceed the level of 2019 in this indicator.
