The calculations of the Bal coastal anti-ship missile systems (ABMK) and the Cliff coastal silo-based anti-ship missile system of the Black Sea Fleet (BSF) carried out rocket firing during a joint exercise with a detachment of ships of the fleet according to the final check plan for the summer training period.

During the exercise after the launch of the Progress target rocket from the Utyos launchers, the combat crew of the air defense of the frigate Admiral Grigorovich discovered and escorted an air target. As a result of the use of the Shtil anti-aircraft missile system, the air target was successfully hit at a distance of more than 40 kilometers.

In addition, as part of the exercise, the crews of the Bal ballistic missile ballistic missile system completed the tasks of destroying the naval group (KUG) of the simulated enemy at the far and close lines of destruction, followed by meeting the standards for changing starting positions and replenishing the ammunition of launchers.

To ensure safety, the maritime range in the Black Sea, in which rocket firing was carried out, was closed to navigation. The tasks of closing the area were carried out by about 20 warships and auxiliary vessels of the Black Sea Fleet.
