On October 26, a meeting of the Central Council of Veterans was held at the EMERCOM of Russia. The participants discussed the interaction of veteran organizations with educational institutions that have specialized areas of training in the field of fire safety and protection in emergency situations. The meeting was attended by State Secretary – Deputy Minister Alexei Serko.

The participants discussed the participation of veterans in activities aimed at the patriotic education of young people.

At the beginning of the meeting, Marina Chernysheva, a member of the Council of Veterans, widow of the Hero of the Russian Federation, Yevgeny Chernysheva, told the audience about cooperation with cadet classes. Marina Yurievna stressed that the cadets are doing a lot of patriotic work, including looking after memorial sites, keeping a post at the Eternal Flame on Poklonnaya Hill, and participating in campaigns to help veterans. Alexey Sibekin, director of the INFOLINE college, spoke about the need for cooperation and social partnership between educational institutions and organizations of the Russian Emergencies Ministry to create an inextricable bond between generations.

Chairman of the Council of Veterans Shamsutdin Dagirov thanked those present and presented the honorary diplomas of the Minister “For merits in the implementation of a unified state policy in the field of civil defense, protection of the population and territories from natural and man-made emergencies, ensuring fire safety and safety of people at water bodies” to veterans Sergei Kudinov , Peter Kirilyuk, Sergey Shaposhnikov, Vladimir Zolotov, Ivan Tutsky, Oleg Nepryakhin and Mikhail Shiyanov.
