In addition, computer classes with procedural simulators were deployed in two army aviation brigades of the Eastern and Southern military districts and in two helicopter regiments of the Central and Eastern military districts. By the end of the year, the installation of a training and simulator complex in the helicopter regiment of the Western Military District will be completed.

Currently, the Syzran branch of the Air Force Academy is completing preparations for the graduation of young lieutenants, army aviation pilots. In total, the university will graduate on October 30 more than 250 officers, including 14 graduates with honors.

Army aviation dates back to 1948, when the first helicopter squadron was formed in Serpukhov near Moscow. Initially, the helicopters performed only auxiliary tasks – delivering mail, reports, adjusting artillery fire, aerial reconnaissance. Later, with the improvement of tactics, methods of warfare, helicopters and aviation weapons, the tasks of army aviation expanded.

At the present stage, being part of the Air Force of the Aerospace Forces, army aviation solves a wide range of tasks – these are fire, airborne transport, reconnaissance and special tasks. Today, army aviation is armed with modern aviation systems (Ka-52, Mi-28n, Mi-35, Mi-8 of various modifications and others), is a highly mobile means, acts as one of the main means of achieving goals in armed conflicts, decides not only combat and special tasks, but also tasks to eliminate the consequences of natural disasters of a natural and man-made nature.
