As part of the working trip, the head of the penitentiary department Alexander Kalashnikov and the deputy director of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia Anatoly Yakunin, accompanied by the head of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Republic of Kalmykia Farid Khairulin, visited KP-3 in the village. During the visit, the director of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia met with the Head of the Republic of Kalmykia. Alexander Kalashnikov and Batu Khasikov discussed issues of interaction, development of the production sector of the penitentiary system in the region and the attraction of convicts to work. As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached on the creation of a roadmap for the development and expansion of the network of correctional centers in the republic. Also, Alexander Kalashnikov held a working meeting with the heads of the republic’s law enforcement agencies.
At the end of the visit, the director of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, Alexander Kalashnikov, thanked the leadership of the territorial body for the work done and identified further tasks in the main areas of service.
