In the Meshchansky District, the first launch site for construction under the renovation program has been selected. Over 30 thousand square meters of real estate can be built on the selected territory. This was announced by the head Department of urban planning policy of the city of Moscow Sergey Levkin.

“The Central Administrative District is one of the most difficult in terms of the selection of launch sites. This is influenced by many factors, including dense existing buildings. On the site at the address: Durov Street, possession 3, it is possible to build 32.5 thousand square meters of housing for the relocation of citizens under the renovation program. It is planned to complete the implementation of this project at the second stage of the program – until 2028, ”said Sergei Levkin.

The head of the department clarified that in the Central Administrative District 110 houses were included in the renovation program, in the Meshchansky district two buildings would have to be resettled.

Today, within the framework of the renovation program in the Central Administrative District, 11 houses with a total area of ​​about 140 thousand square meters are being designed and built. There are 533 launch sites selected throughout the city.

The housing stock renovation program was approved by the Mayor of Moscow in August 2017. It concerns about one million Muscovites and provides for the resettlement of 5176 houses.
