The pilots of the army aviation of the Southern Military District, who, after graduation, were assigned to the helicopter regiment of the Southern Military District in the Kuban, took a training course on the latest Mi-28UB training helicopter.

Servicemen learned to use weapons of destruction against ground targets from unguided missile and small arms and cannon weapons while performing complex types of maneuvers and hovering.

The main feature of the Mi-28UB is its dual control system, which allows the helicopter to be piloted from the cockpit of the pilot-in-command of the crew, as well as from the cockpit of the pilot-operator. In addition, in combat conditions, in the event of an emergency situation, a second crew member can take over the vehicle.

The helicopter is also equipped with a failure simulation console, which allows the student to simulate equipment failure in flight and improve training in an emergency situation.

Another important feature of the new modification is the presence of an airborne radar station (BRLS), which greatly facilitates the solution of combat and navigation and aerobatic missions. The radar allows you to work around the clock in both simple and difficult weather conditions, it is designed to survey the surface, detect obstacles, identify and automatically track targets.

The helicopter regiment of the 4th Army of the Air Force and Air Defense of the Southern Military District, based in the Kuban, was one of the first to receive this newest combat training vehicle, which significantly accelerated the process of training and retraining of flight personnel.
