Victoria Abramchenko held a meeting with the heads of the subjects of the Siberian Federal District on the socio-economic development of the macroregion

During the meeting, the heads of the Altai and Krasnoyarsk Territories, the Kemerovo Region – Kuzbass, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Tomsk, Irkutsk Regions, the Republics of Altai, Tyva and Khakassia presented projects of socio-economic development.

“The regions of Siberia presented over 50 projects that will improve the quality of life of citizens and the economic situation in the regions. The main attention was paid to projects related to the development of new industries, including in the areas of mineral processing, deep processing of wood, the development of agriculture, tourism and infrastructure. It is important that all initiatives are linked to the achievement of the national development goals set by the President, ”said Victoria Abramchenko.

The Ministry of Economic Development, together with the relevant departments, must submit to the Government the results of consideration of applications from the regions by November 1 and formulate proposals for supporting projects. After a preliminary study of all projects, they will be defended in order to approve the list, which will be implemented within the framework of the institution of supervision.

“I also believe that close attention to the regions of the Siberian District should be paid to the issues of solid municipal waste management and other environmental projects. It is impossible not to take into account the ecological situation and the tasks of ecological improvement of territories, especially where these questions are regularly raised by citizens. You can create as many jobs as you like, but if there is no comfortable urban environment and good ecology, the outflow of the population will continue. Therefore, projects for the socio-economic development of regions should be aimed not only at improving economic indicators, but also at creating a favorable environment for life, ”said Viktoria Abramchenko.

During the meeting, the sides discussed, among other things, projects for launching a special economic zone “Avangard” in the Omsk region, as well as integrated residential development in the city of Omsk. In addition, the list of projects proposed by the governor included the construction of a timber processing enterprise Segezha Group (as part of the priority investment projects of the Ministry of Industry and Trade), as well as the construction of the Omsk hydroelectric complex.

The construction of processing plants, the creation of a world-class campus on the basis of the Novosibirsk State University, as well as the reconstruction of Tolmachevo airport were discussed as proposals from the Novosibirsk region.

The list of proposals from the Krasnoyarsk Territory included “Vostok Oil”, as well as the implementation of forestry projects, in particular the construction of a pulp and paper mill and other projects for deep processing of wood.

During the meeting, the projects of the Altai Territory aimed at the development of tourism and agriculture were discussed. In particular, the number of proposals from the subject included the construction of a ski complex, as well as animal husbandry enterprises.

Among the projects of the Tomsk region, the launch of an investment project for deep processing of grain, aimed at increasing the export potential of the region, was noted.

The Irkutsk Region presented, among other things, a project for the construction of a polymer plant focused on the production of polyethylene with an output of more than 650 thousand tons, involving the creation of more than 3 thousand jobs, as well as the construction of a pulp and cardboard mill.

The organization of timber processing production has also been proposed by the Republic of Tuva. In addition, the development of the woodworking industry was included in the number of proposed projects in the Altai Republic. It is planned to create an industrial park here, specializing in low-rise innovative housing construction and related industries. In addition, among the proposals of the republic is the project of the recreational and health-improving complex “Katun”.

One of the proposals of the Kemerovo Region – Kuzbass was the implementation of an action plan to diversify the region’s economy for the next five years, the development of the Sheregesh tourist infrastructure, as well as the construction of new residential neighborhoods.

Among the proposals of the Republic of Khakassia are the development of the Beysky coal cluster and the agricultural project “Cheese of Siberia”.
