In the 2021 academic year, the intensity of flight training for the crews of modern Su-25 Grach attack aircraft of the Eastern Military District (VVO) air unit stationed in the Trans-Baikal Territory increased by 50%.

Since the beginning of this year, each attack pilot has flown at least 200 sorties, having spent more than 150 hours in the air, while the annual flight plan is 100 hours.

About 40 hours of flying time were performed while performing flight missions in difficult meteorological conditions, including at night, as well as in hilly and wooded areas in various altitudes.

This year, the crews have mastered the skills of complex aerobatics, including the Nesterov loop, vertical, horizontal and oblique barrels, and combat turns.

Also, the Su-25 crews worked out actions in the event of conditional emergency situations, in particular, in the event of aircraft equipment failure, during covert movement, to evade attacks by fighter aircraft of a simulated enemy in conditions of electronic suppression.

To date, the entire flight crew of the air unit has passed a set of control lessons for assignment of class qualifications.
