The vice-premier who graduated from this university congratulated the student project team on winning the hackathon of the third season of the Digital Breakthrough All-Russian competition. Also, together with the leadership of the university and its industrial partners, he held a meeting on the implementation of strategic projects of the university in the field of digital transformation of mechanical engineering.
During the conversation, the students presented to Dmitry Chernyshenko the developed strategy for the development of the university. For its implementation within the framework of the “Priority-2030” program, the university received the basic part of the grant on the track “Industry Leadership”. The strategy focuses on promoting youth initiatives. This includes the organization of an accelerator of technological startups based on the university, building the capacity of the student media center, and introducing elements of a digital campus.
Dmitry Chernyshenko noted that the university has ambitious development plans. By 2030, Stankin plans to triple the volume of research and development work in the interests of the engineering industry, become a leader in the training and employment of student project teams and ensure the sustainable development of more than 50 student technology startups.
“At Stankin, students are actively involved in the formation of each direction of university projects, this is the right story. It is valuable that the university’s strategy correlates with the strategic initiatives approved by the Government. For example, it is important for us to give students the opportunity at the university to create their own startup and start developing it with the support of experienced teachers. I believe that Stankin should become one of the leaders in the implementation of strategic initiatives for the development of advanced engineering schools and university technology entrepreneurship. It is also important to support the work of the university related to the monitoring of scientific fronts, and involve them in the implementation of the updated program of scientific and technological development of the country, ”said Dmitry Chernyshenko.

One of the main tasks is the formation of engineering project teams for the tasks of digital transformation of mechanical engineering and machine tool construction. The meeting on the implementation of strategic projects of the university in the field of digital transformation of mechanical engineering was attended by Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education Dmitry Afanasyev, acting Rector of MSTU “Stankin” Vladimir Serebrenny, as well as representatives of the university’s partners in the implementation of projects: Baltic Industrial Company, JSC “Russian Helicopters”, JSC “AVK” and the state corporation “Rostec”.
The vice-premier was presented with projects to create domestic robotic equipment, which will reduce the production time of products and reduce its cost. For example, according to preliminary estimates, the development of a robotic platform for cleaning and painting ships, which will be in demand in the Arctic, will save the company 8 billion rubles.
“I am grateful to the companies that they entrust the creation of developments important for the engineering industry to university students. Creation of domestic equipment together with young scientists will ensure the technological security of the country, as well as train highly qualified specialists with the required level of competence, ”Dmitry Chernyshenko emphasized.
“The University is ready to act as a system integrator in the technological support of mechanical engineering. All projects presented to the Deputy Prime Minister provide for cross-cutting participation of students in their implementation. For these purposes, a student design bureau has already been created, ”added Vladimir Serebrenny.
