In the next few hours, military medics from the Central Military District from the Novosibirsk and Sverdlovsk regions will also be delivered to Abakan by military transport aircraft.

The medical and nursing teams include military personnel with significant experience in diagnosing and treating patients with COVID-19, including resuscitators, pulmonologists, anesthesiologists and other specialists.

Currently, 65 specialists of the Russian Ministry of Defense from medical units and military medical organizations of the Western Military District are involved in providing assistance in the treatment of patients with coronavirus infection in Tula.

At the request of the head of the Moscow region, Andrei Vorobyov, a specialized hospital will be deployed in the Moscow region, for which medical and nursing teams have already been allocated, trained to provide assistance in the treatment of patients with coronavirus infection.

Also, by order of the President, more than 347 tons of liquefied oxygen for medical institutions have been transferred to 27 constituent entities of the Russian Federation to date. The military department produces and transfers more than 20 tons of oxygen for these purposes every day.

In the multifunctional medical centers built by the Russian Ministry of Defense throughout the country, more than 50 percent of places are currently reserved for the treatment of civilian patients. In total, more than 9 thousand civilian patients have been successfully treated for coronavirus infection in the medical centers of the military department.
