Doctors and junior personnel of the Special Forces Medical Unit (MOSN) of the Eastern Military District (VVO) completed work on providing medical support to Russian military personnel in Syria and providing assistance to civilians of the Arab Republic and returned to their permanent deployment point in the Trans-Baikal Territory. Military medics have been performing tasks in Syria for several months.

At the Chita airport, the servicemen were met by representatives of the command of the combined-arms army and the leadership of the military-clinical hospital of the Air Defense Forces.

During the trip, military doctors provided the necessary consultative and diagnostic assistance to Russian servicemen, including in the field, and during humanitarian actions they provided medical assistance to the civilian population.

Also, Russian specialists were involved in testing for a new coronavirus infection. In total, the servicemen performed over 20 thousand laboratory diagnostic tests.
