“Traveling is an extreme thing, but since childhood I wanted to see the whole world and understand how it works, and I was able to do it. For more than 20 years I have been faithful to my dream, ”said Leonid Kruglov.

The guest devoted his speech to the Arctic and the search for the rarest animals there.

High school students learned about the inhabitants of the northern region, its features and incredible nature, were able to see the endless expanses of our planet in the works of the author.

The forwarder himself first decided to test the geographic knowledge of the cadets and asked a few tricky questions. The guys did not lag behind the guest.

The speaker told the cadets about his first journey, about the dangers that lie in wait on the way, about favorite places, about upcoming projects and about the film “Far North”.

Together with his team, he covered 10 thousand kilometers, following the legendary route of Semyon Dezhnev, the great Russian explorer of Northern and Eastern Siberia.

Filming lasted four years and took place in seven regions of Russia – from the Arkhangelsk region to Chukotka. The researchers traveled to the Komi Republic on dog sleds together with the expedition of Fyodor Konyukhov, traveled on deer to Tobolsk, overcame the Putorana plateau on a small single-rotor plane, reached the “pole of cold” in the village of Oymyakon, feeling the force of the Yakut frosts. The travelers, like the Cossacks-explorers, passed through the ice of the Laptev Sea to Chukotka under the sail of a sea-type catamaran. The participants of the project got acquainted with the way of life of the Chukchi – hunting in the ice, hunting for seals, life in yarangas.

At the end of the meeting, Leonid Kruglov wished the cadets to always support their comrades and learn new things.
