The leadership of the Mikhailovskaya Military Artillery Academy demonstrated training classes for the military delegation from Sri Lanka, designed to ensure the instilling of initial skills in cadets in performing tasks according to their official purpose (performing fire missions), improving the skills of cadets and students in managing subordinate units and subunits in the conduct of hostilities.

The head of the delegation – the commander of the ground forces of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, General Shavendra Silva, got acquainted with the unified training complex of the Iskander operational-tactical missile system, the complex for preparing the crews of the 2S3, 2S19 self-propelled artillery guns, the Tornado-G complex, a mortar battery equipped with an automated control complex.

Also, the military delegation took part in the historical tradition of St. Petersburg – firing from the Naryshkin bastion of the Peter and Paul Fortress a midday shot from the D-30 howitzer assigned to the Mikhailovsky Military Artillery Academy.
