In the military school of cooks of the Eastern Military District (VVO), stationed in the Trans-Baikal Territory, final examinations among military personnel of the food service have come to an end. During the current training period, a unique military training unit has trained about 300 military cooks and bakers.

Control tests for cadets of the school upon completion of an intensive course of study consisted of a theoretical and practical part, as well as passing standards and exercises in the main subjects of study in accordance with the training course.

During the practical part of the exam, cadets, under the supervision of experienced mentors, prepared full-fledged meals according to the norms of the allowance of military personnel with the preparation of first and second courses, salads, etc. Separately, the servicemen carried out practical baking of bread at a field bakery. The work was carried out both in the field and in stationary conditions.

At the end, all cooked dishes were evaluated by members of a special commission with assessment points for the main and additional indicators.

Recall that the military school of cooks of the Air Defense Forces in Transbaikalia is one of two schools in Russia that trains food service specialists – cooks and bakers for further service in the Armed Forces.
