Servicemen of medical units of the Central Military District (CVD) from Novosibirsk, Sverdlovsk and Samara regions flew by military transport aircraft to the Republic of Khakassia to assist health care institutions in the region in treating patients with coronavirus.

The CVO consolidated medical group includes resuscitators, pulmonologists, anesthesiologists and other specialists with significant experience in diagnosing and treating patients with coronavirus. Medical and nursing teams are equipped with artificial lung ventilation devices, necessary medicines, as well as a telemedicine kit for consultations with specialists from military medical institutions and more than 1,500 express testing systems.

Also, by order of the President of the Russian Federation, more than 347 tons of liquefied oxygen for medical institutions have been transferred to 27 constituent entities of the Russian Federation to date.

More than 20 tons of oxygen is produced and transferred to the Russian Ministry of Defense for these purposes every day.

In the multifunctional medical centers built throughout the country by the Russian Ministry of Defense, more than 50 percent of places are currently reserved for the treatment of civilian patients. In total, more than 9 thousand civilian patients have been successfully treated for coronavirus infection in the medical centers of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
