Vaccination against the new coronavirus infection COVID-19 with a two-component vaccine of domestic production “Sputnik-V” was received by 98.7% of the servicemen of the Baltic Fleet. Based on these data, all military personnel who had no medical contraindications for vaccination were vaccinated at least once in the Navy.

According to representatives of the medical service of the Baltic Fleet, at present all efforts are focused on revaccination of servicemen. About 78% of the planned number have completed it.

The first to be revaccinated were the crews of ships that had to carry out their assigned tasks at sea for a long time, as well as servicemen of units of constant combat readiness and those on alert. Also, first of all, medical workers who are at the forefront of the fight against coronavirus and representatives of the command staff receive vaccinations.

Revaccination in the Baltic Fleet takes place at a rate of 200 to 500 people per day. Vaccination is done both in the medical institutions of the fleet and by mobile vaccination teams.

The stock of vaccines stored in the branches of the Naval Clinical Hospital of the Baltic Fleet is sufficient to provide revaccination of not only all military personnel and civilian specialists, but also their family members, military pensioners and everyone who is assigned to the military medical institutions of the fleet. To date, more than 39 thousand citizens of the above categories have been vaccinated in the medical institutions of the fleet.

In Kaliningrad, on the basis of the multifunctional medical center of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, additional places have been created for 50 beds, respectively, for receiving patients with coronavirus who require treatment in a hospital.
